Abstract In this work, a simulation model of vibratory conveying system is presented. The based on continuous contact formulation in vertical direction which extended by friction force horizontal to simulate process. contrast with complex 3D tools, it enables the understanding previously unexplained phenomena such as multiple feeding velocities at same excitation amplitude, are observed practical measurements. parameters that have an influence effect investigated, and method for predicting adjusting occurrence solutions developed. It shown calibration very difficult practice, depends significantly initial conditions reproduce predict. also can exhibit chaotic behavior some configurations. These states means parameter studies, point becomes predicted Lyapunov exponents fractal dimensions. Knowledge be used calibrate conveyor, they depend only not conditions. interdependencies discussed more detail. Therefore, work provides deeper processes using simple model.
